About this time in 2007 was the last time the 94 Taurus operated

Now during the summer of 09 me and my Dad pushed it from the front of the house all the way around to the Garage(we had to push it around a block and a half)

coincidentilly just a few weeks after pushing it into the garage one of my relatives 92 Taurus conked out and my Grandfather took it in fixed it up a bit and offered it to my Parents (now to me since Apparently I'm the only one who gives a Slag about it) as either a Donor or replacement for our 94 model.

the 92 Model requires a Water pump

and the one I've gotten attached to requires..Brake pads..and possibly new disk,Battery, some Hoses and a New oil pan.....Water Pump is perfect

The reason I like the 94 is because it shares sentimental values and some pretty fun road trip memories....and it has Airbags

now since my Dad is deploying to Iraq for a year this week and my Moms Explorer is showing it's Age (although she prolly won't drive when he's gone) it might be useful to have an extra operating vehicle just in case.

If it was up to my Mom it would be Junked by Now..but she changed her mind when my dad said he'll just teach me and my sisters to drive in her SUV when he returns.

so what do u guys think I should do

turn the 92 model into a Donor patient for my 94 or take out the water pump in the 94 and put it in the 92 model.

please no Taurus HATE Flame Smam

    Stop buying Fords.

So the only thing the 92 needs is a water pump, and the 94 needs a lot of work but has a functioning water pump? I think you already have your answer...

You didn't mention how many miles were on each car. If the miles are decent on the '92, just do the water pump job and donate the 94 to a charity that accepts junkers.

There's a point at which you have to let old cars go, I'm afraid, just like most other things in life.

The fact that the 92 only requires one thing that you have in your possesion and you're still asking us this question shows the common sense that you lack.

I'm curious about this statement, which really doesn't make much sense to me. I'm hoping that you mean you don't know how to drive a stick-shift? If not....

Hey! I drive a '91 Escort! :)  As long as it gets you from A to B... :lol

OP, change the waterpump from the '94 to the '92. It's still not exactly a fun job, but much easier than the work that the '94 requires...

if you're really attached to the '94, just make it your project car, repair it little by little until it's roadworthy...

Piece of advice. If the 94 has been sitting for a while, I wouldn't bother using the used water pump. Pay the money and get a reman. from Auto Zone or Advance (or any auto parts store). If it's been sitting for a while, there's a good chance the one on the 94s gonna leak. Good luck either way.
