I just got my iPod Nano and I can't figure out how to transfer the songs on the iPod back onto my computer. If anyone knows how and can share the information with me that'd be great.

I don't have a nano, and I'm not sure what you're asking. Does the music on your nano already exist on your computer, or are you trying to use the Nano to copy the music from one computer to another?

If it's the same as a regular iPod, do this:
Open Windows Explorer, go to Folder options. Go to the View tab and click "Show hidden files". Look on your iPod and find the folders full of files with names like "hjhfduw" and so on. They're your songs. Copy them to your HD and look at them in iTunes; they'll all have their proper names in there.
Failing that, buy CopyPod (what I use).

Ipod Agent is also a useful tool for getting songs off of an iPod easily.

wait a minute, are you really not supposed to be able to get music off an ipod once it's on? I use a different mp3 player, so I'm just curious if this is one of apple's shady tricks.

Not so much a trick - just the way they designed the iPod. It's designed to be a mass storage device, but they make it difficult to copy music from an iPod to a computer, most likely out of fear that the music industry would sue them (or because of some pre-existing agreement).

Like Twin Twist said, you're not supposed to, but you still can quite easily.

I have an iPod nano, but only cause I won it off a radio contest, and it's only 2gigs. I usually just stick to my 30gig Creative Zen Vison M. Not really a big fan of the iPods.

Do it!!! I love the little bugger, just wish it was bigger then 30gb. There is a rumor they are making 60 and 80gb versions.

How can I say no to that pretty face? Oh yeah, NO! hehe, I got it hooked to my 360, so it has some use. Looks kinda unholy, an Apple iPod hooked to a Microsoft X-Box360.

The 360 has USB ports on it, I listen to tunes at my buddies house all the time.
