Okay I have an Energon Shockblast and I don't want to trash the BFG he has is their a simpler way to shorten it or do I need an extra arm and whatnot. Just let me know because I want to turn Shockblast into my version of Shockwave. So thanks.

You'd need an extra arm since that sucker is just one big "arm" itself. I took mine apart to see what I'd need and it leaves the shoulder joint, but you'll still need an arm (bicep area down to the hand or laser, in this case). Not sure what arm will fit with it though--I never got beyond taking the old arm off.

Yeah, since the BFG is basically one big box, you'll pretty much need a new arm, really. I think I remember seeing one version where someone fitted a new arm but made the BFG a cannon that fit over it...

As for what arm repalces it, there's quite a few options. The most popular choice seems to be Energon Bulkhead/Quickstrike, but pretty much any Voyager-sized fig with a generic enough arm should work. My own is scratchbuilt from a bunch of Mulitmac parts and the torso of an old Zoid Hellrunner (for the cannon barrel)...

I bought a second one for the "other" shoulder, then swapped in 2 Dropshot arms into those shoulders. One has a hand, the other shockwaves blaster thingy...guns also mount onto that arm as well.

Question: Can a G1 Shockwave arm be used for this or not?

I believe it can, but don't quote me on it. I want to say that I saw where someone used an old G1 Shockwave arm not long ago, but I can't remember who it was.

F_R, is that the new Universe Dropshot you're talking about? If so, it's cool to know those arms can work out. That's also a good idea, picking up a second one to use the shoulder.

Thanks to the onboard search engine, it was ECR Former who did the bash with the G1 Shockers arm (KO). It looks pretty good, but bearing in mind G1 Shockwave's pretty much the equivalent of an Ultra nowadays, naturally it's pretty big.

I saw that, but thanks the reminder though, Ramrider. I might use some different of whatever, but this shockblast will be my version of shockwave.

On a side note I just realize that a member by the name of Metal Chaos also was doing this same thing, I found that out to be weird, but this is October.

Metal Chaos wanted to copy Corvus' bash. Judging by the guesses on MC's thread, it looks like it used E-Demolishor's thighs for the upper arms, Armada Megs' forearms, and an E-Snowcat missile launcher for the gun.

I red that too, but its whatever he wants to do. But he needs to give credit to Corvus for using that idea. Mine will be different.

it's the best. I usually pick up parts for a fraction of ebay prices. plus (if slick enough) you can talk the price down sometimes.
lots of ebay TF sellers are pretty much "online stores"
