My mind is just blown that you have Megadeth and Bjork in the same list.

Some of the best hip hop I've heard in a long time comes from these two guys

YouTube - Jay Electronica - Exhibit C (Prod. Just Blaze) (CDQ)

    YouTube - Shad-A good name

You've got a pretty eclectic mix on that list, check this out. Its a project that takes street musicians and traditional music from around the world and mixes it together in covers of various socially conscious songs.

You may also like Cage the Elephant

YouTube - Cage The Elephant - In One Ear

If you're in the states, I recommend you try out Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music , its an online streaming music player that tries to predict music you might enjoy based on the music you pick.

You have some of my all time favorite bands on your list, like Depeche Mode, Sublime, and 311. So I feel compelled to offer you my recommendations. Go to youtube to check them out.

The Killers - Read My Mind YouTube - The Killers - Read My Mind

The Muse - Uprising YouTube - Muse - Uprising [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

Paramore - That's What You Get YouTube - Paramore: That's What You Get [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

Kings of Leon - Use Somebody

    Phoenix - 1901 YouTube - Phoenix - 1901 Official Music Video

And because you have Bjork here's one lady that's as quirky as she (well almost)

    Sia - You've Changed YouTube - Sia - You've Changed

Edit: Got couple of more bands for you.

Rise Against - Ready to Fall

30 Seconds to Mars - The Kill

Can't ever go wrong with some Gorillaz, Beck, Ok Go, or White Stripes.

And I second The Killers and Cage the Elephant recommendations.

    Stellastarr*
    Interpol
    The Crystal Method
    Editors
    Silversun Pickups
    The Dandy Warhols
    Ladytron

Uhh, 2006 or newer is very limiting. Anywho, I'll give you my list (I'm not sure if these are older than 2006):
    NAPT
    Mstrkrft
    The Sleeping

I don't know, I'm more into older stuff TBH.

Seconded. It's how I keep my iPod from getting stale - finding new bands, songs, etc. I've even ended up listening to new genres of music I'd never even tried before.

Sorry dude, I only listen to the 80's and early 90's plus classic Rock. I don't care to much for this centuries music.

Depeche Mode fan? Listen to Recoil.
It's Alan Wilder (formerly of DM) doing whatever the hell he wants with pretty much any vocalist he feels like getting, and it's amazing.
