ok. i'm racking my brain trying to figure out a good deluxe figure that would make a great wfc ultra magnus.. right now i have my eyes on cybertron defense hot shot.. i'm wanting to try something other than a prime repaint thats been done dozens of times... what cha all think? p.s. i/m hoping after prime is over and fall of cybertron comes out next fall that the next toy line is from the game . i really believe they would sell like crazy.
yeah, thats who i meant. He felt kinda WFC-ish, plus i figured you could add something to the backpack to make his robot mode more Magnus-y, like the missile pods or something.
My current plan is to see if there will be a FoC Ultra Magnus. If not, I'll get the inevitable FoC Optimus and repaint that one and keep the WFC Optimus as Optimus.
Trying to get away from just another Prime repaint is a big step in the right direction to begin with.
How about Cybertron Defense Scattershot? More similar to Animated Magnus, admittedly, but still. I think my view of Magnus is sort of painted by his Marvel UK interpretation so I see him in a powerful body.
GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!! Lolololol! I won't be doing any repainting but I think the FOC Prime with the high shoulders looks more like it should've been an Ultra Magnus design. I HOPE Ultra Mag is in the game along with Kup & Hot Rod.
... honestly, I would just love a white Optimus Prime repaint. I really like that color scheme, and I am sick to death of Hasbro's "WE ARE DEATHLY AFRAID OF ANY OPTIMUS PRIME THAT'S NOT A RED AND BLUE OPTIMUS PRIME" mandate.
how bout g2 rts prime w/ battle tanker upgrade? or is that too small? looks like the igear head would fit perfect onto this...hmmm...i might try this since i got another tanker on pre.
Probably too small and too... Earth-mode. You look at it, and it's clearly an Earthly tanker truck. How about Universe Onslaught? Large, bulky, tall shoulders, and while it's a wheeled Earth vehicle it's generic enough that it could pass for Cybertronian.
