I recently bought this C10 condition MB Transformers board game:

I know that it was released in the Nordic region in the mid-80's, in Swedish, Danish, and Finnish versions (don't know about Norway and Iceland). It should be official merchandise since it is a Milton Bradley game, after all :)  I was thinking that it at least got a European release since Hasbro UK called the shots in the Nordic region in the 80's until we got Hasbro Nordic some years back.

Anywho, I've been searching high and low for any and all info about this board game, and I can't find anything telling me it was released worldwide. Does anyone have a version of this boardgame? f you do, please let me know and feel free to post pics of it! :)

It's a classic boardgame. The objective is to take over your opponent's HQ. You play with little red plastic figures that transform between robots and Cybertronian vehicles. You duel your way through the board, and the one who wins the most fights and take command of the HQ wins :)

    Edit:

Here's a pic of the board. The people playing this round used Micromasters instead of the original game pieces.

Could I see those game pieces? I'm curious to see what they look like.

well, I'm not opening the game up since it's MiSB, but you can see the game pieces in the first pic, the lower left corner :)

Wow, I'm stumped - but congrats on the buy. I looked all over the Internet and the only 80s TF board game I could find doesn't look anything like this. Nice that you got it sealed.

Maybe Might Gaine can help - he's knowledgable about all this obscure stuff. Shoot him a PM.

I've got the UK version of that game, MIB.

Its actually a cool little thing to have, very quirky. I've not actually played it though.

Try out boardgamegeek.com yet? I know I've seen a page of info on that game, but not sure exactly how detailed it is anymore. Was months ago. Could be updated since I checked (though kind of doubt it, but hey, hope springs, right...?)

Yeah, no info on where the game was released. The pics they had there were from a Dutch version of the game though, so now we've confirmed Swedish, Danish, Finnish, English (UK), and Dutch versions. :)

I also have the Swedish version around somewhere. I remember that it was extremely bad and the figures were horrible.

Now the Armada strategy game, that was awesome. What's up with the awesome game adaptations from Armada anyway?

If it was, I never saw it. And I kept up with that stuff back in the 80's.

Send a PM to alphie -- she collects tons of non-toy TF G1 miscellany.

I did have a G1 boardgame, but it was totally different than this one. Namely, it used the original '84 cast.

Funny timing about this thread though. I litterlly just asked my Mom if the game was still around somewhere. Either today or yesterday.

I remember that game... I guess I have the board and some of the gamingpieces somewhere in the cellar.
The gamingpieces really lookes like shit! Ugly ass hell robot consisting of two platic pieces and then you fold the pieces together and it's transformed into a spaceship/fighter looking thing.
I thought the game was really dull even as a child in the middle of the eighties.
I made my own Transformer strategy game instead.

Cool thing to have as a collectable though..
