Customs: Need help modding G1 seeker mold

    Can anyone tell me how to safely dismantle the Cockpit/nosecone section from the metal chest of the G1 seeker mold?

    There is a metal rod that keeps these two sections attached. The only way I have found thus far is to snap the metal chest in half!! oouch!!!

    There's gotta be a better way. Can someone help me out? ANy pointers?
