I need help identifying this Devastator. G1 or G2? Real or KO?
Can take more pics if needed.

 

Looks like a real G1. G2 Devy was yellow and the rarer orange G2 Devy was a KayBee exclusive.

Scrapper has the rub sign and mixmaster has the chrome grill so I'm leaning towards real.

All you have to do is look for the markings on each. If they are KO's they will have made in China written on them. If real, you will see Hasbro/Takara Co LTD stampings on each one with the date and "Japan".

It looks to be legit but beware, there is a high quality KO out there.

thats real if it has the stamp. How much you pay for him?

I have a Mint one myself sitting here.

BTW, the main difference, is the stamp. You can also tell by the size of the wheels, the wheel mold is slightly different, but without the original you would never know. Actually, I could tell by the wheels it is real. The threads are closer together on the wheels on G1 then the KO.

 

I got him for 140 off ebay and I got reprolabels for him

- is he mint?
- is he 100% (minus box of course)?
How is the chrome, looks pretty good from here?

BTW, get on those CrazyDevy parts while you can! BBTS has them on preorder now.

 

The chrome is pretty good for a toy thats a couple years older than me. His left arm joint is kinda loose tho.

 

A lot of the older ones have that issue. Most reviews I see mention that exact arm.

I got the hands and gun on Preorder from crazydevy. Im suppose to get them this month.

 

CrazyDevy has Knees on preorder, go go go. You'll regret it if you miss it. Can go for like $70 when they don't have it. I got the green and blue knees for $50. I actually got lucky on them. They are all silver now.

Barrel set is on preorder from BBTS. The Forearms are in stock. GO GO GO. Also, if you don't want to wait on CrazyDevy, TFSource has the arms with gun in stock now.

Trust me, you never find this stuff.

What are you using as a display case for him. Looks interesting.

 

An acrylic football display case with a black piece of foam core board as a background.

 

I got the legs from Crazydevy on preorder, barrel set on preorder from BBTS and the forearms from BBTS in my POL. I really don't like the LED head.

Yup! the CrazyDevy pieces are a must for a G1 Devastator!

 

Is there a tutorial for putting in the new cement barrel?

 

There is on the back of the package. You have to unscrew the screws on the figure. Then the barrel comes out pretty easy from what a friend said.

BTW, the waiting for these items is driving me batty!
