problem solved, thanks to those who helped out!
I can probably help you with this man, pm sent.
thanks EO, I actually paid a retarded amount, and think I have it being overnighted from an online store from CA....I'll update as it happens
I believe I've seen this at my local Walmart. I'll be going there after hitting up the comic store later. I'll let you know.
Not sure if they still carry it or not, but Dollar General stores used to have tons of different super glue products (including that one). If you have one near you, you could always check them out (or give them a call).
cool. I'll have internet here for a few more days so if you still need any help, drop me a note.
Not sure if there any in your area, but I picked up a ton at "Ocean State Job Lot" along with a bunch of other products from the epoxy-line
this same product? where is Ocean State Job Lot?
amazon.com sells it, through a third party seller. that is the only reliable place I can find in in chicago. they charge a bit more...i think it was close to $12 with shipping.
yeah, already ordered with them, but the supplier called me this morning with news that the box is not in good enough condition to send, therefore waiting until next thursday to ship.
I found a company in Maryland, who is over-nighting me a box of 20. If they come through, i will recommend them to you all, their prices (minus shipping) are very reasonable for several supplies we all use.
I used this exact same product up until about a month ago...when I two realized all my local hardware stores stopped carrying it...
But...I went to the Michael's craft store and found the same stuff but in the green tube...and it actually works MUCH better...even on plastics...
The green version is more of a gel so it fills gaps and hold parts better while it hardens...also it takes a little longer to harden so you have more time to work with it...
I tried the gel version, didn't like the results as much. side by side the Plastic Fusion holds better than the gel.
Yep, the exact same stuff, I snagged a bunch after hearing your guys rave about it on the boards here. So far I'm not that impressed, but I prefer the putty-style epoxies generally.
Anyhow, Ocean State is a close-out store found here in CT, as well as MA and RI, not sure how far they've spread beyond that though. They're carrying the Super-Glue branded epoxy line for $2.99 (Maybe 3.99, I don't recall).
The BAD news is they are a CLOSE-OUT retailer, so it's kind of a bad sign that they're carrying this product, I'd suggest stocking up while you can.
one other option...never used them, but they seem to have it in stock.
as you can see in the OP (editted) problem solved, the company from maryland shipped them out that day, and I received the 12 packs the next morning! best thing was they were $2 and change as opposed to $4.50 like home depot.
I have 12 more on the way from another retailer - so I think I am good to go for a few years.
for the record, this stuff outperformed almost EVERY epoxy I tried, both in strength and dry time.
Damn! Thats enough plastic fusion of do alot of customs. So where do I get my hands on this stuff and cheap. Send me a private message so that it doesn't interrupt this thread.
these guys kick ass. they have lots of stuff, cheap and fast too.
and those screws I was looking for...
home depot sells boxes of 100 screws for 5-6 bucks.
they have crazy glue for $1.25 each also
i believe i saw that at a dollar store but it was orange...
Alright, thanks f-r. I just might get like one or three tubes of this stuff when I get to it.
