So I remember a year ago, I saw a thread on here of people discussing what display cases they used for there collections. There was a nice $50 display case from Ikea that I'm trying to find. Does anyone have a link to the Ikea page or a link to the thread discussing this? Or any kind of help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Actually got to go into an Ikea yesterday. Never been in one before. That store is huge. I hate how they force you to follow a path. It took about 20 minutes to go through to find the damn exit. No Ikeas near me in the states. This one was in Canada. The Detolfs were $80 there . I notice they nickle & dime you for things. Once cabinet had 3-4 prices on it. Cabinet, Door, light, & handles were sold separate.

I got a Detolf shelf before Christmas last year on sale for like $25. If I had room I'd probably get another one because they're really nice. Mine holds all my favorite and most of my most "valuable" TFs. Except for Fort Max and Scorponok because they won't fit.

Speaking of Ikea, does anyone remember when they used to have a playroom for kids with a ball pit? That shit was tight.

My third Detolf will be here tomorrow! Now I gotta figure out how I'm going to fit it into my office/toyroom.

Not really. I got by just fine alone putting together three Detolfs in about 90 minutes. They're real simple once you get the hang of it.

Its a four-sided glass cabinet. While it is probly possible to do it with one person, I highly recommend 2 as well.

The sides are considerably heavy, and there's a point where you have to flip it upside down to continue the build. (actually you start with it upside down then flip it right side up, if I remember correctly).

So, these shelfs from Ikea, I read that the weight they can sustain in em is crap.

That true? What's the most you guys put in em? Can I go stickin' MPs in them?

    Indeed why?

If you are carefull and have a nice wall to assemble it against you can do it on your own. 2 people is easier and safer off course. I assembled 7 of these on my own without beaking anything. You need to take your time with the first one if you won't want an accident.

I have my MP Skywarp in one and that shelf has about 10 deluxes too. They should hold any TFs you want in there. I might hesitate storing your brick collection, but plastic toys will be fine.

It says on the webpage that the maximum load per shelf is 13 pounds (6 kilograms). And since the full dimensions are 16 3/4" x 14 3/8" x 64 1/8", you're probably limited to about 15" x 12.5" shelf space and a 15" height for each shelf (at a rough guess).

I'd like one of these cabinets (actually, probably two or three), but I currently have no space for them.
