Currently, the only Movie Optimus Prime figure I have is the ROTF Leader class one. I want to get a smaller scale Prime, so that I can have a Prime better scaled for figures like DOTM Megs, Voyager Blackout and The Fallen, and Deluxe Bonecrusher. However, I'm not sure whether to get the Battle Blades version or the Wal-Mart Deluxe version. I think that BB Prime looks a lot cooler, but I'm worried that the scale won't be quite as good. Which one do you guys think is better/which one would you recommend?

Deluxe Optimus looks like a fun toy, but over all I would say the HFTD version is better.

That is what I was leaning towards, since the scale is still pretty good, and he's got movie accurate swords, a better transformation, and guns that integrate into his vehicle mode (or robot mode when they're not in use).

HFTD Optimus is a better toy overall, but DOTM Deluxe Optimus is DEFINITELY more in scale with the figures you listed, especially Megatron and The Fallen.

Good point, and that's something a lot of people seem to forget: Megatron DWARFS Optimus in the movies.

If you're looking for better scale, then go with the Deluxe Prime & add a whole bunch of paint to him.

I own Battle Blades Prime and I have to say he is a truly awesome figure. He has a fantastic paint job, is very posable, and both his modes are essentially kibble-free. The transformation is complex, but not as difficult as the RotF Leader. He also looks great next to DotM Megatron! I highly recommend him.

Battle blades. Much more going on, more weapons, and all around, more impressive.

I own both figures and feel HFTD BB Prime is easily the superior figure.

With that being said, the Deluxe Prime is awesome in its own right. Maybe even superior on the fun factor.

As a standalone figure I would recommend BB Prime, but since you want to display them with DOTM Megs and ROTF Fallen, I would recommend Deluxe Prime.

I am actually casting HFTD's blades and will affix them to Deluxe Prime~best of both worlds! Plus the deluxe has the new abs.....

I have them both and all I can say is HFTD BB Prime is chillaxing with DOTM Voyager Megs and I have Deluxe DOTM Prime as my pocket Prime. Ah, the choices we have.....

I was about to say HFTD, but chooses Deluxe. I was playing Deluxe prime against dotm and rotf Megs, Blackout, voyager starscream, and Fallen. Scalewise it looks right and very articulate. HFTD obviously looks better than deluxe but he's bigger than the voyager megs(rotf and dotm)

EDIT: And Deluxe prime is TONS OF FUN AND JOY than hftd.

I too have both and suggest HFTD Prime. As an alternative, you can get the Walmart exclusive voyager version. Rather than the blades it has hooks. For $17.77 it's a great deal. It also comes with the Landmine repaint Commetor.

    PM'ed you.

Buy HFTD Battle Baldes Optimus first, if you like him enough then go for the Wal-mart 2-pack as well. Either way you're getting your money's worth on an excellent figure.

BBOP. He's my stand-in on my DOTM shelf, as I wait for a remold with a DOTM accurate chest.
