I'm nearing the end of my huge project of creating non-transforming WST versions of G1 characters. I have 24 left to do :)

Groove will be one of the next ones I work on, but for some reason I really don't want him to be a motorcycle. I just can't deal with the scale issues, so I want to change him into some other vehicle.

What do you think would best suit him? Here are some ideas I have:
    -Police SWAT APC vehicle
-Lamborghini Police car (actually then I'd change his name to "Cruiser" which was originally going to be his name anyway).
    -"Paddywagon" police van

    Any other ideas?

Option 1: motorcycle with Sidecar (like Samurai Prowl). He'd still be slightly smaller than the rest, but the sidecar would make up for the mass issues.

Option 2: go with the APC, but make it a cross between a real SWAT APC and '07 Wreckage.

    Just my $0.02. :)

I'd try and find something that was a little different vehicle mode wise. There is already a police car, and there is already a van, so I'd go with the SWAT APC. but if you were trying to keep it more in scale with streetwise, maybe the paddywagon.

I've been struggling with this myself. I keep hoping to bump into some kind of exotic 3-wheeled Search and Rescue vehicle, or SOMETHING Rescue-themed with ANY kind of base other than 4-wheels.

    Haven't found anything yet...

But what the hell, it's a good afternoon for some Google Image Seaching. I'm at work, so I can't save and attach, so I'm just posting links to some interesting ones:

4-Wheeled, but the profile is Motor-cycle'y

All terrain, mini-ambulance thingy (I kinda like this one)

Not sure if this is really a rescue vehcicle, but it came up

more wheels? Something like this might work well. Paint it up EMS and it would fit well:

there's also no boat on the protectobot team...so a rescue boat or hovercraft might work well...

Dude, have you never seen a Honda Goldwing?

They have 1300cc engines, two sofa seats, heaters, speakers...
Seriously, I have seen Goldwings that are bigger than Mini's.

For me, slight scale issues take a backseat to accurate form. If it's not a bike, it's not Groove.

    Honda FTW. I have a CX500. I, too, would go with a motorcycle...Groove is a motorcycle.

While I agree that groove is cooler being a motorcycle, F_R's comment about a boat would be pretty awesome. they have land covered, and the air, but no water....I like this idea alot.

Well, actually no! I can't seem to find the exact model of Goldwing anywhere online. I would really like to find it, too. Every time I find one, it looks like a modern version of the one that Groove was based on.

The goldwings are usually bulkiers bikes, maybe add a side cart for even more bulk, but still - tiny compared to the rest of the team. They are also not modern looking at all...

This is true, however it's hard to know how BIG those things really are by pictures. I'm a big guy and I think i'd have a hard time sitting one of those back up if they fell.

can't remember if someone mentioned this, but what if you made it a goldwing trike? you'd get alot more mass (especially for his foot for combination), and it would still look like a motorcycle from the front. Something like this
    Road trip to Borth, bytecode
