I need a good video downloading software that can grab videos from a website.

Keepvid doesn't work with the site and it's not Youtube, so Youtube downloaders are out of the question.

    Can anyone help?

I was gonna say keepvid but you have already said that it doesn't work with the site. You might wanna try google. Google always solves a problem.

I've already tried 2 suggestions from Google and I've gotten nothing but trouble with the software I've tried.

All I want is just a software or site where I can just paste the link of the video and download it, nothing more.

Getflv. Though I think the free one is gone. If you know someone that has the pro full edition this is pretty good. You work it like a browser but when a video is being watched, you have the option to download it or clear it.

If you're using Firefox, you can download an add-on called Downloadhelper. Works great. I got it after a friend posted a Happy Birthday video on Youtube for my niece, and I've used it to save the FLV files of my own videos that I post to Youtube.
