Looking for a good racing game.

    It's gotta be on PS3.

Gotta be 2-player local (split screen all the way!). Online multiplayer is fine too, but I really want to be able to play with friends in the same room too.

Just a good ol' fashioned racer like Need For Speed or something. Don't want a car combat or kart racer type game.

    Any suggestions?

Yeah, except every Need For Speed I've seen is 1 player. Is there a 2 player one?

    Gran Turismo?

And NFS Carbon is split screen, I think.

I bought Blur because I had the same requirements to such a game.

    edit:
Oh, you don't want combat :(
It's like Mario Kart, but with real cars.

Burnout Paradise is still my favorite racing game ever, but I believe the offline multiplayer stuff came with some DLC.

Ah forgot to update this thread- I got Need For Speed Carbon. 2 Player, car customization, police chases- all the good stuff. Maybe not as graphically beautiful as today's stuff, but still plenty pretty in its own right. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!
