    I love Akuma! Been my favorite SF character for years. I want to buy one of his figures but I'm undecided between the two makers. Just wanted to get you guys opinion on these figures.

    They've already shown off Akuma, but he looks kinda weird.

    I have the NECA one and i'm happy with it.

    Looks weird to me too. Looks like the same body was used for Ryu and Akuma

    Sorry, should've clarified.
    SOTA released two different Akumas.
    An Akuma from Street Fighter Round 4 and another Akuma with an improved base body in Street Fighter Revolultion.

    is this the one you're talking about? i took a couple quick pictures years ago when i first got him, and i think the flame effects far outweigh any articulation improvements other manufacturers may have.

    I have both SOTA and NECA and I like NECA more. I will be getting the Play Arts since he's also one of my fave SF characters (aside from Fei Long). Hope to start playing him in SFIV AE soon too.

    I have the first version of SOTA's Akuma and I am pleased with it. The sculpt and articulation is good and it fits into the ML and DCUC figures 6 inch scale.

    The NECA version looks good but I decided not to pick it because I was so into the SOTA's line-up (good range of characters) and because of the scale i.e. it is 7 inch.
