If anybody here owns the AOU Hulk, this is going to be an awkward question, but can you take off his pants? And how large is he next to a figma figure? (yeah I think you know what I'm getting with this).
Man, NECA's just the gift that keeps on giving. My 12" 2014 Godzilla's tail randomly fell off and I can't for the life of me get it back on.
Yeah, a lot of potential for this line. I hope they keep it going long enough to realize most of those. Kenner had some cool ideas back in the day and Neca can make some pretty awesome figures out of them.
Did you try using a hair dryer? Or if somehow that dumb bell ball joint snapped then you're screwed, but I don't think it'll be that hard to track a new one down if that's a last resort.
Yay for double jointed elbows! Figure looks great. Hopefully they make an ultimate Dutch to go with it eventually.
I'd love an Ultimate Dutch to go with Ultimate Jungle Hunter, especially since the only Predator figures I own are Play Arts Kai Jungle Hunter (awesome figure but standing at 11", he doesn't scale correctly with anything else aside from other PAKs) and a custom 4" Predator to go with my G.I. Joes (currently building Dutch and his crew at the 1:18 scale). I never bought a NECA Predator before so this will be the first.
/\Exactly what I thought when I first saw it. That scene was almost a highlight of that movie, so the open mandibles would have made sense. It does look like the closed mandibles face they used is kind of like the one from the scene where Dutch tries to trap him and he gives him that "Are you serious?" look.
I like the relaxed mandibles but open would have been cool too. I guess a lot of fans have been asking for removable bio masks so they went with that instead. Can't do the open mandibles with that feature. Makes the extra masked head is a little redundant though. I don't mind swapping heads so removable masks, while cool, aren't really necessary imo. Even the movie costumes had 2 different heads for masked/unmasked (supposedly). Not a big deal to me though.
Actually I'm okay with the Predators with removable masks, sure those masks look huge on them, but to me they look badass. Still to each their own.
The shoulder canon for my Ancient Warrior Predator went missing. I just tore my room apart and finally found it in a really unlikely place.
I'd love an open jaw roaring face since that scene during its confrontation with Dutch is pretty iconic. This is the Play Arts Kai optional open jaw roaring face and it's great, but as I mentioned, PAK didn't give us an in-scale Dutch figure to go with it, unlike NECA.
I'm kind of on the fence now (given the high prices on the ultimate figures). Just seems like they have bungled the license for an extended period of time. I'm glad they did a much better job with Aliens.
Man you are hard to please. The AVP Preds are some of the best action figures in the lower retail price range ever. I mean ever. For better action figures you literally have to go import and pay more.
They're nice figures, but it's been like two years since they put out a non predator. Imagine if Hasbro just made 8,000 different spider-men over the next two years and didn't make any other character(s) from that universe.... I'm normally not a fan of importing, but with what's gone on with this franchise going all the way back to Kenner's garbage, I kind of think that's probably the better way to go.
