I'm looking forward to Simon and Dracula...especially the former...its something about the dressing so er, barbarian like! XD
Here's the POA breakdown for Alucard: -Ball joint neck (limited by hair) -ball shoulders -ball elbows (sigma 6 style) -cut wrists -cut at top of coat cuffs -cut waist -ball hips (sigma 6 style) -ball knees (sigma 6 style) -ankles much like pre-hasbro marvel legends, only they can turn around (mimicking a lower calf cut sort of) left/right as well as up/down, although no side to side movement that I've noticed (joint could be too tight to tell)
Does anyone own Simon? If so I have a couple of questions: i) Is the articulation good like the ML figures? ii) Can he hold his other weapons like the sword?
** EDIT ** Check my first post on page 1 for more detailed pictures... Another close up... See how the pegs on the stand don't go into the foot holes that well... Packaging (side), looks as she is showing more clevage while not exposing too much...
I'll never own these. Only stores in my area stocking them will be Spencers and Hot Topic. Spencers probably won't actually stock them though, and I refuse to enter a Hot Topic under any circumstance. The fact the "removable" bra was glued on last second also doesn't bode well for the QC of the line. Looks like they also either outright ditched the changeable heads, or will do variants. Not as if these toys don't already cost 1.5X what they should.
Got Alucard, but had to pass on Simon. The one there had his forearm popped out right in the package.
If these really are nicely articulated then I'll have to go for at least a Simon and Alucard. I'm hoping Suncoast will carry these. It's about the only brick and mortar store I can think of that would.
Just as long as they don't fall apart like McFarlane's stuff. My guess, since this is going to be sold in main stream stores, they didn't want to sell it where the piece could easily fall off unexpectedly, yet still wanted people to have the option of giving her that more 'game accurate' look. Two little dabs of glue will keep the mold of the figure intact while keeping the piece in place and doing as little damage as possible. Personally, the only reason I didn't pre-order her on BBTS already was her articulation issue, but I do actually have a few figures who'd pretty much match the whole 'unarticulated sexy monster chick' thing she has going on so I may eventually buy her anyway.
Alucard has the same amount of articulation as a Sigma 6 figure. Obviously his clothes and hair create restrictions, but who cares. Now I need to go hopping around comic stores trying to find a non-broken Simon.
I'm glad to hear people are getting these, but damn- why hasn't BBTS gotten them yet? They usually aren't the last kid on the block to get them, so to speak.
I've gotten the last Simon from my store on hold. I might go for the Succubus as soon as I get paid. (Then all we need is SOTA's Morrigan figure to keep her company) Why's his face so...weathered? I gotta say...the figure is awesome. If Paul Anderson is making the Castlevania flick, he needs to buy these figures to base their looks from. Question: What does the clear Simon represent? Is that some game power-up I don't remember?
