A couple months back when we had all those nasty storms, our patio table kissed the pavement, and threw glass everywhere. I'm still cleaning it up, because alot of the glass went into the grass a couple feet away. So today I was checking the umbrella to see if it could be salvaged, since the table itself can't. It seems like the spines just needed to be placed back in to the holes around the umbrella. So naturally I figure, "hey, it's not a total loss", and start putting the spines back into their holes, no problem. Then I get to the last one, just about done. I get it into the hole (or so I thought), and the blasted thing jets right toward me, smacking me in the eye. Fortunately due to the natural "flinch" reflex, it struck me on the inner side of the upper eyelid, scratching halfway across the eyelid. I'm lucky though, the cut wasn't very deep, and it stopped bleeding about 2-3 minutes afterward. My eye is still sore, but at least I can still watch 3-D movies.
