You really can't go wrong with either. The white version is the one I have, but the black one looks kust as good. The only problem, and this isn't big, is that my brother told me that whenever he plays his black ds in the dark, the power light is way too bright, and even alittle blinding.

Red/Black combo. Schmexy. Plus the black plastic is matte instead of clear so it's less of a fingerprint magnet.

Unless you want to play GBA games on it.

    Black.

Plus it looks better with custom decaling i think. And you won't have that white outer contrast always there when you're playing your games

aesthetically, the black ones look better. white ones get dirty, and scratches are more obvious.

This. But only because the ds lites will probably drop in price when dsi comes out and I think the ds lites are better.

If I had to choose between black and white, I would choose black. I have a black and blue ds lite and don't really feel comfortable with the white. Plus, if you want to add some of those custom skins to it, the black usually goes better with them than the white.

Either one is good, it's the same great machine.

That said, I own the black one. Never had a problem with the power light in the dark either and I play it in the dark often enough. Best system I own right now.

i have a blue/black one right now and i love it. i used to have the white model, and maybe it was because it was an early run, but i found the plastic to be much cheaper on that ds than any other ds i've ever seen. not only did i get the cracked hinge problem, but another crack began to develop right along the top half of my system, first just a little bit, but it grew to the point where it ran almost halfway up the thing... so i eventually traded it in for the blue/black one and i've never had a problem with the plastic quality since.
