    Yo!

So, my kid's DS developed a crack on the hinge that is apparently compressing or cutting into the red on the upper screen.

I called Nintendo and they have an offer to buy a refurbished system for around $90. I figured this was cheaper than getting a brand new one and about the same as getting one at Gamestop (and with less boogers.)

So now I have an extra DS and I was thinking of getting a new case for it and swapping the guts. I was looking for some help in the following areas.

    1. Has anyone done that before and would you be willing to point me in the right direction?
    2. Do you think I can repair the RGB cable or is it screwed?
    3. Are there any pitfalls you could help me avoid that I may run across in the process like damaging capacitors or cables or the like?

    Thanks! :thumb
