For whatever reason, the NBA likes to put a crazy amount of time between games, so these series will take forever to play out.

Suns topped Lakers in their Game 1, Cavs over Wizards in a game LeBron hurt his ankle in, and how 'bout those Nuggets? Took Game 1 from San Antonio, leading most of the way.

I have no local team, but if I were to cheer for anyone it would be the Mavs or the Bulls...if they are even in the playoffs?

If the Raptors make it to the finals I will maybe watch a couple of games. Not a huge basketball fan but God knows some Toronto sports team has to do something.

I haven't paid much attention to basketball in quite a few years sadly. I should try to get into it again. How'd my Celtics do this year? Or do I really not want to know?

They finished with the second worst record. They tried their best to get the worst record so they could draft Oden/Durant, but they had to settle for second.

youre only posting this cuz nugs got game 1 :p

FYI, they spread the PO so much to prevent injuries decisively affect who wins series. more time between games = more recovery time.

    go suns!

Yes, I'm pumped because the Nugz took 1.

But I don't buy the spreading thing. I mean, the NHL is a tough game, and they don't spread them nearly that much - and in the NFL, you have the same amount of time as the regular season, unless you earned a 1st round bye or are going to the Super Bowl.

Damn Devin Harris just got landed on with 2 minutes left in the Mavs game. If he's injured seriously that's gonna really hurt our chances.

Suns looking good. Steve Nash is a joy to watch.

Golden State could upset Dallas the way the season went as well as game 1.

It's been almost 10 years since I've really followed the NBA. I kind of miss it. I used to follow the Mavericks... then the Suns. So, uh, go Suns!

Lakers need to play D. Period.

And Kobe needs to step up in the 4th.

And they need to play with fire.

    Otherwise they are fine.

I'm a Spurs fan and not at all suprised that the Nuggets took game 1. The Spurs are notoriously bad at performing in the first game of any series. Had Duncan, Parker and Ginobli contributed at all in the first half, they'd have won the game.

I am surprised at Dallas though. Wow.

I still pick both the Spurs and the Mavs to take the next 4 games in their series.
