No NBA basketball thread eh? So who is everyone's favorite team? My team has always been the Pistons since the "Bad boys" era. They are doing pretty good 5-2 right now. And how bout them Celtics 7-0. What a turn around from last season.

Man, NBA, that takes me back. Basketball hasn't been cool here since, like, 1996.

Way back I was a Mavericks kinda guy but I sorta changed over to Phoenix.

Most of my family is from the Boston area, and I grew up a big Celtics fan. In the Era of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parrish, etc.

It's REALLY good to see the Celtics back to being a proud team once again.

I think as a Laker fan from the Showtime Era of Magic and Kareem, I hate the Celtics and Pistons by default. But I got alot of respect for them. I wish the Lakers were an elite team. I miss the days when the big 3 were the Spurs, Lakers and Kings, and not the Spurs, Mavs and Suns.

Always a Lakers fan. Boy do I miss the Showtime days with Magic, Worthy, and Kareem. That 3 consecutive Championships with Kobe and Shaq were nice but nothing compares with the 80s Lakers.

And yeah I hate Celts with a passion tho I respect the heck out of Larry Bird and Parish. McHale can kiss my ass if not for him maybe the Lakers could have the chance to get KG.

i was watching out for boston when they pulled that off season thread, but despite liking KG and rayray on their own, i cant seem to care for em right now. i even like doc (tho i hate ainge) and was actually rooting for em (i like p squared) when they had that buncha rookies.

ive given up on nash cuz the NBAs just gonna screw him over. again. at least amares back to his old self, but i dont wanna jinx him.

think ill just watch out for the bulls, hope they overachieve again.

The Sixers suck. Iverson is gone to Denver and basketball here is boring. Can anyone say draft pick?

QFT. I've always been a Celtics fan, my entire life, but I haven't followed basketball since the mid 90s.

Same with the Seattle (for now) Sonics. The Supes finally got their first win of the season last night.

I always think of all the championships we could have had if the Sixers had the first pick in the draft and got Duncan. Instead the second pick in which the Sixers drafted Keith VanHorn. Is he still in the league?

Back in middle and highschool it was all about the NBA for me. Now NCAA rules my world as far as basketball goes.

But the team I follow is the Suns. Only because Shawn Marion is there and he went to UNLV when I did.

There are. I'm a huge NBA fan. I just converse about NBA stuff on another board.

I've been a big Wolves fan since they started. At the 9-36, I am more invested in them this year than I have been the past few years. It's been fun starting over. It's the same feeling I got as a teenager when KG, Steph, and Googs were running the show.

It's going to be a lot of fun these next few years. All of the young bottom dwellers will have solid teams, and these top-tier teams will have to upgrade, or else they are lottery bound.

Don't get me wrong. I will root for the Sixers tonight. I'm sure I will lose my voice tonight. I've been a fan since birth. :lol  We have been rebuilding this team since our appearance against the Lakers in the Finals. Billy King destroyed this team, by signing players to long contracts. I was pissed as all get out when Korver was traded. He was the best shooter on the team. Iguodala is fun to watch but he just turned down a seven year $79 million dollar deal.
