LBJ to LA Lakers. And that, my friends, is what is wrong with the NBA. Teams are manufactured and bought. Need a real salary cap and real revenue sharing to prevent this type of garbage.

Lifelong Lakers fan, and LeBron was literally the last player I would've ever wanted to see on this team.

The owner of the Cavs wants him gone this time so he can get his franchise back.

Kobe has a huge ego but he was all about the Lakers and L.A.; he didn't want to be anywhere else. LBJ is about the money and the attention, IMO.

My problem with LeBron is that he'll most likely be handling the ball over the younger players like Kuzma and Ball, and they won't be able to grow as well as a result. If there was any all-star I wanted on the Lakers, it was Kawhi Leonard, assuming he can recover.

Yea , say goodbye to the potential of the rookies/young players. Theyll just become spot up shooters. I feel bad for brandon ingram.

If there's any silver lining to LA-Bron, it's that Magic Johnson was serious about turning the team around.

I knew what was up with this, when Magic gave that interview/press conference the other day about giving two years. I'm not surprised he left he's pretty much drained this team dry and it times to suck another team dry. I wonder if he will get the pass there, ESPN and the like gave him here. It's amazing he has no one to play with when most of them are his guys or his agent's guys. The biggest knock on that is the trades that didn't happen as the Cavs had a deal for PG, but Lebron wouldn't even give them an idea of whether or not he would reup. It's hard to knock Kevin Durant when you constantly are in search of the stacked deck yourself, with the stories of him trying to recruit stars players to come with him. I wonder what Magic promised him, because Lebron isn't about helping the kids, some bodies are getting moved to get someone there. Lebron is like meth, a great rush at first but in the end leaves you a rotted out toothless shell.

And the possibility of a Kyrie-Lebron Finals also seems entertaining to me.

You can't be serious. You have Lonzo Ball on your squad and you DON'T want LBJ?

This is all I gotta say................... picard-facepalm.jpg

I doubt the Spurs wanna deal with the Lakers now that LBJ is there but what about Cousins? What's his contract looking like? I know he's trying to come back from a major injury but he might be a good fit in LA. Is LA is a playoff team though now by having James, cuz the West is stacked. Add him to LA, they aren't better than Houston or GS, probably not better than OKC either. Then you got NO, Utah and the T-Wolves.

Boogie wants a max deal and coming off an Achilles injury, nobody is coughing up that kind of green. He'd be LUCKY to start playing by the all-star break, so as of now, that's a bad investment unless it's a 1-year deal, which he won't go for.

I'm also a lifer Lakers fan, and I'm kind of indifferent about the signing. On one hand, I'm glad that Magic is serious about turning the Lakers back into a winning franchise, but on the other hand, I'm just not a LBJ fan. He's the best player in the league on the court, but he does weird social media things off the court that I just can't endorse. In addition, he doesn't really make his teammates better. He carries his teams to wins, but he doesn't make them better, and that's something he'll need to do with Ball, Kuzma, Randle and Ingram.

I'm kind of scratching my head at the J. Caldwell-Pope signing. They gave him WAY too much... and the Stevenson signing... WTF?!? McGee should be a solid bench guy, but signing all of these guys doesn't leave enough for another max deal. Perhaps they're going to wait for Kawhi to become a free agent next year and go for him then... and they still have Luol Deng clogging up significant money.
