This thread is a challenge to everybody out there that takes pictures in cool stuff or toy pics in general. In this thread only photos allowed are those that ARE NOT PHOTOSHOPED! The ONLY thing allowed is level, color and light fix. Nothing more.

And let the toy pics began! I will start us off.

I posit that if you can't take a good picture without shopping it then you can't really take a good picture. I mean look how long they did beautiful pics in National Geographic and the like before Photoshop was even invented.

(Before you jump down my throat, I freely admit that I can't yet take good pics.)

Sharpness is allowed. As long as you don't loose the original picture. ;)

They also had crazy expensive cameras and high end developing equipment.

Ok here are some pics. A lot of these I posted in the Marvel Legend thread so if you haven’t gone in there they will be new to you.

Thanks. I’m hoping to get a photo tent and some lamps for Christmas so I can kick it up a notch.

I'd say it would be an even bigger challenge to only be able to sharpen in photoshop. No leveling or color fixing would force you to choose proper color temperatures and exposure :D

ALL of my pics are 'natural.' Since you dont consider cropping, resizing, and sharpening to be unnatural. For that matter, I barely ever do contrast/brightness boosting, either.

Abrogate, your Blentrons look great! I might have to get them after all.

And as for the photoshopping, I believe tik, KA and NF (who do awesome photoshopping) do take awesome photos to begin with ;)

    Here are mine.

Uh, don't forget that Dodging, Burning, Airbrushing and all sorts of photo "cheats"
originated in "traditional" photography. To ignore this stuff and pretend that great
art photos are made the second they are taken is kind of naive. "Fixing" did not
come to us from Photoshop.... PS is just an easier way of accomplishing these same
things at home. Something to consider. :)

Alright, alright. But I also know that at the very least the dodge and burn tools are almost as shunned as Lens Flare. Put it this way: the best photoshop skills in the world will only be able to make a sucky picture less sucky. There's still a lot of skill that goes in at the camera end rather than the postprocessing end.

I dunno if you saw it, but a few weeks ago I posted a really big gallery in the "cool pics" thread

    http://thefriendsociety.com/vic/unicronians/

I personally wouldnt recommend shilling out the dough for Rartorarta, as the only change between him and Injector is grey legs vs black ones, but Drancron and Elephorca have REALLY amazing colors. The american versions barely impress me, but those BWN ones are some of the most unique things in my collection
