Went to see it last night, the opening night. Without giving away any spoilers all I can say is: wow!

I really enjoyed it. It has been a while since a good action/fun movie kept me on the edge of my seat. The story is solid and I think it is better then the first one, which is kinda rare with sequels.

    Iacon's meter:
    8/10

It's guilty pleasure series for me, like "The Mummy." Doubt I'll catch this one in the theater, but I'm sure I'll Netflix it down the road.

it's easier for sequels to be better than the first film these days, because sequels are no longer after thoughts, with many films done in trilogy formats, the middle film is often the strongest.

Back to topic, I can't wait to see this movie, I enjoyed the first one very much.

This one was really good. But the first was better to me. I give it a 9/10.

    I was pretty good.

Loved the goofy cartoon in front of it.

I had the same troubles with my dvd/ tv hook-ups as goofy.

Folks cheered the narnia trailer in front of it! (They must have missed it on the internet!)

It got really bad reviews online which was why I went to go watch Sweeney Todd instead last night.

But since it's getting praises in here, I might just go watch it now. I saw the first one and thought it was fun.

What I couldn't believe was that there was a line for it at the AMC I went to. A LINE?! For a National Treasure sequel? Who would've thought? :lol

I guess it's popular here since it's so close to DC.

Looks decent though I'll probably wait for the DVD rental. I'm sure poor ol Nick Cage blesses us with his superior acting skills just as much as the first one.

Now the real question is was THAT movie any good?

It was alright. Definitely not my favorite Tim Burton film. Also, if you don't like musicals, definitely do not watch this movie.

It had its moments. And I'm sure it would be much more appreciated or criticized if you've seen the musical beforehand, which I haven't.

    I'd say it's a rental.

Well Sweeney Todd is in fact a musical, for those of you who didn't know that. I heard very excellent things about it, but I dunno if I would like it.

To stay on topic, I loved the first National Treasure and can't wait to see this one.

    ^^^To answer that...

Kinda. Sort of lets you know a sequel might be planned, but it's really unspecific.

saw it today, it was ok. just like lord of tetris said, near the ending, it leaves somewhat of a topic that they can use for a sequel.

I really liked the first one. I am kinda a history nerd and loved the mix of action and education, albeit they took many liberties and such with the first one. I did like the many "educational" locations they shot at. Kinda like being in 5th grade again.

    Will definitely see this one.
