Actually, that was the first thing that came to mind when I heard about bombing the moon, on the news. But then again, I figured they weren't detonating under the surface to make space for the "Lunar Leisure Living!"

 

everyone knows the main alien city on the moon is on the dark side where we cant see it. damn conspiracy nuts cant even keep their conspiracies straight.

The difference is, this new one is going to try and confirm the data from the others by sending up an actual plume of H2O.

They'll blow it up, the tides will stop moving. No more waves in the ocean, surfers will be pissed. Then the water will go stale and all the fish will die. This will contaminate the water so that even the fresh water ( which comes from evaporated ocean water ) will be contaminated with disease. All the crops will die shortly thereafter. With no clean drinking water and no fish or crops, humanity will all die after a period of mass chaos fueled by "survival of the fittest" mentality fighting for the limited resources.

 

There are still so many things I wanted to do before I died, I hope they really don't blow it up. note: I haven't read article yet.
