    I was just reading a extensive thread about this at bautforum.com, it's got the "fake moon landing" folks up in arms about a conspiracy.

    I like how cool they seem to be about it, simply because they have some copies of it. That's kind of like saying "Oops, we lost the Declaration of Independence. Not to worry, we have plenty of scans of it, and by now it was almost unreadable anyway!"

    I guess NASA can always try retracing its steps...

    I wanted to make a fake moon landing joke here... but it's already been done.

    Honestly, when I heard this earlier... I thought it was a joke. Yay for rocket scientists!

    Oh, the moon landing happened. However, as soon as they landed, Movie Megatron showed up out of nowhere and killed everyone, so there's a big cover-up.

    Someone probably sent it into "America's Funniest Videos" cause Armstron flubbed his damn line! Or someone used it to tape their favorite episodes of "I Love Lucy" since those episodes are never really shown.

    I just figure NASA doesn't want to admit they lent the tapes out to George Lucas and he accidentally taped over them.
