When Hot Rod is going up to Look-up Mountain the autobots holding the sign were Hound (Wow he was getting around that day)   Bluestreak and Huffer

so wait... sunstreaker was both on earth with kup... AND on the shuttle with optimus prime??? wow does that mean, that the signal didn't go through, i wonder? and sunstreaker went to go get him... or does he have the ablity to warp?

I wrote a fanfic one time about all the other Autobots that died with no explanation in the movie, and tried to clear this up. In my version, Sunstreaker got picked up by Prime's shuttle while Sunstreaker was racing towards Autobot City and almost got killed by Bruticus. Prime showed up and shot him down with the shuttle and picked up Sunstreaker, finishing the trip to the City with him as his co-pilot.
