It really disgusts me when people do things like this. It's clearly this guy's own fault that he drove into a hole. Trying to get compensation for something that's clearly your own fault is like a sky diver whose chut doesn't open, lands in someone's backyard, and sues the home owner for the surgical removal of a garden gnome. Stupid.
I'm surprised he shot the Mayor himself instead of getting one of his men to do it. There must be more to the story that's not posted.
Everyone's all hyped up on guns right now, it would seem. It got bolded in this article, but it's not really a relevant point (I hate it when people bold portions of articles). I don't know if organized crime in Japan is the same as the US, but I too am a bit surprised he did it himself.
Here is what I like about the selective bolding, this was put in bold: While this was not: Mind you, I'm kind of middle of the road in the whole gun control thing, while I feel there is no need for people to own assault weapons, I also don't like the idea of banning outright. The prospect of a situation where authorities have guns and citizens don't has always seemed a bit unsettling to me for some reason.
I think this guy acted on his own accord. And his organization is probably distancing themselves as far as possible since this event will most likely have brought much shame to the organization. I'd even go as far to say that if he weren't caught, the organization itself would've dealt with him internally for bringing attention and shame to them. Especially for something so petty in reason. But this is all theory from me.
Not to play devil's advocate or anything, but if the head of the Hell's Angels (they're the ones in charge of crime around here) wanted a little extra consideration from the city, I don't think they'd be stupid enough turn him down.
I can't find a link anywhere on line but I was listening to the bbc news earlier and they said that another gang member that had been interviewed a the police station said he was embarrassed by this act. I wish I could find a link to an article in print. *searches google news*
