I am really late to the party on this Myth Wars concept... but what I am seeing here is really awesome. Very inspiring. Makes me want to draw.
Interesting. I like the Unicron, the Optimus Primal, and the femmes (Although I'm not a big fan of Medusa's "Headless Horseman" robot mode, though it does provide an amusing nod to the original mythology). Will you be doing other transformers in this style?
Thanks, Alty! I encourage anyone who has ideas to post here - they can be existing characters or new ones, but they must have mythological alt-modes..! Greek, Chinese, Japanese, even urban myths!! I'm interested to see what you guys come up with..!

If there was ever a zombie thread to be resurrected the RIGHT way, THIS WAS IT! Hey lets throw a lil more style to the MythWars concept, since we're working from both BW and G1 lets thrown a lil of Animated in there too!
In that case, I have some ideas.... The Fallen as Cerberus Scylla as, well, Scylla Primus as Zeus (Or Mount Olympus, or both) Soundwave as Echo
Those are really cool designs. Mythical designs were really a missed opportunity during the Beast Wars/Machines run, they would have been very awesome. Do keep up the nice designs Billy, they're great!
All great concepts - I especially like the idea of a female Soundwave as Echo.. I'm just imagining her and Shockwave (Cyclops) having a private conversation while Narcissus is off in the distance, shocked and confused at such a site.. A nymph and a giant beast together is just an odd image. @Primus_feather - I'm really interested to see how these MW characters would look in the Animated style; as well as the seeing the Animated characters as various mythological creatures..! The only concern I have is how to make TF's transform into human-type bodies without making them look.. boring. Zeus, Thor, Hercules and many other gods are human in design, and I wouldn't want to see the same transformation used repeatedly for these designs. Maybe these certain characters give up their ability to transform and remain in a human-body state - their designs could be done in the style of the humanized versions such as the ones in the TF:A episode Human Error or Northern Banshee's G1 human designs. .. Or not. Optimus Primal is humanoid in body type and that's a great design.. it works. But yeah.. it's just a thought. What are your opinions on this? I'm not trying to hinder anyone's ideas - Let your imaginations run wild!!
Damn, it's been years since I last saw these! Great to see them again, some really fantastic designs. And Billy, didn't someone draw up Hercules as a lion? I always liked that one, especially with how the placement of the kibble made it look like he was wearing it's hide. And if you're going to draw Zeus, maybe try something similar, and let him turn into a bull or one of his other (many) forms?
