That looks like a really nice clean cast! I wouldn't worry about the price, that's actually a very fair price, ESPECIALLY considering your shipping it from Singapore! I have an original MyClone Arcee, or else I'd probably get one I'd say this is probably about 1/2 the price the MyClone Arcee toys usually go for, so it's a great deal, thank you for making such a great item available to the community. D/L
hey destrongerlupus, I tried drilling and cutting the original myclone ultra magnus before, I guess I'm quite adverse to working on PVC, because it's soft and rubbery. The resin casts seem to be firmer when I drill and cut, maybe it's just me.
I actually really like using PVC parts when they're available, the soft material gives you a lot of flexibility and makes for natural friction-joints. Not only have I already drilled out my MyClone Arcee head and popped it on my Animated Arcee, I actually did a mini-tutorial about it for the Kidbash Blog kidbash - Blog - Girls areawesome! Totally! Mine was a super-quicky job, and I'd really like to rework her gazelle neck still, but it looks pretty good: These casts should work just as well
Yeah, I notice in the photo she already has a neck post. So maybe just cut off the neck stump and drill a socket for the neck ball joint. Great work! This is how it looks like after (poor) editing in MS Paint
For those who wanted the myclone arcee head, casting has been completed. Please let me know if you didn't get my PM. I am contactable at aurascope[at]yahoo.com.sg
Wanted to give this a bump to show something instead of making a new thread. I had to move so i couldn't do the custom until these days, but I swapped from going the Animated Blurr route and thought better to put this head on animated deluxe arcee. I may still paint both molds at the same time, and the head wil be able to alternate between the two. i think thats about the right height/neck length, no?
