    Hey all!

I'm new to the forums, so I figure my first post should be my finished bashes!!!

    Currently I have as follows...

    WST Ultra Magnus Trailer:
Scratch bult with styrene, took for EVER but was well worth it, didnt want to spend 400 bucks on the official botcon ones on Ebay, but after spending this much time on it it would have been cheeper time wise by far! hehe
He is "fully functional" The little white flaps that hold up the arms in alt mode move in and out, the rear ramp folds down, and arms are even correctly spaced to lower for cars to drive up onto the upper ramp! missles dont fire obviously but they do come out of the launchers.

    WST Megatron silencer kit:
Quckie made from MP primes mini megatron gun. It only has two parts (well three including the scope) so it doesnt do all the fancy things the ones on ebay that go for over 100 bucks do, but its good enough for the girls we roll with.

    WST Scorpinok, Metroplex, & Trypticon:
Kabaya kits that I panted, Nothing to fancy with metro and trypt, I,ve seen many a folk on these forums do them, but I was lucky enough to get a scorpinok for 13 bucks off ebay. Someone messed it up with spraypaint while still on the tree, it was easy enough to scrape off and paint. =)

Whew, so now my wst collection is complete!
I dont have arcee, ricochette, or any other rare expensive customs, but Im content with the officials and a few knockoffs...

Next project is a masterpiece sixshot baby!
He's in the works, working treds and everything. But if magnus taught me anything its dont hold your breath for this one. Hes still several months out.

    -Trox

That is one awesome srcatchbuild! I've been thinking of using parts from the heroes of cybertron Magnus to make one for myself. Yours, however, is spot on, even the head! Wow.

I'm in love with Ultra Magnus. Think of a way to replicate it, you will earn a lot of money selling that.

    Thanks! =)
I would replicate it but then it would make it no better than the overpriced botcon ones, This way he's unique. Besides I can't mold for crap, I'm a scratchbuilder all the way, no molding just hours of filing, sanding, cutting, gluing, and painting =)

Thank you very much for the kind words all! A couple of side notes...
1- I've deccided to take another crack at the WST megatron gun kit, I saw another for sale on ebay and it looks easy enough to modify what I have thus far to be more g1 accurate.
2- I will take your advice Redline, when I have a good base set up for MP sixshot I'll definatly start posting some pics!
    3- More pics of Magnus!

4- For all those who are inspired to make your own WST Magnus I'm selling my mark 1 unfinished bash on ebay. I was going to chuck it but I figure there must be someone out there wanting a good base to start from. Take note it is no where near as good as my finished version posted above, it still needs alot of work and detailing. I wasnt happy with the width of it and the hands are too big, but it should give someone a good base or some scraps for their own project!

Nice work! How did you solve the issue of paint not adhering to the Kabaya knock-offs?

I didnt unfortunatly. I just used a thin layer of super glue on friction areas, and try not too fiddle with them to much. The shoulder cannon of metroplex and the legs of scorpinok have already chipped quite a bit. =(

Aw, sorry to hear that :(

A guy at the hobby shop today told me to try something called "Mr. Surface". I don't even know where to find the stuff, let alone if it would work.

I needed some Kabaya parts for my recent Cliffjumper project. My solution was to create a new mold based on the parts I needed, and them cast those out of resin. Sure it works, but that's a whole lot of effort for one WST.

well, if you picked the right molds, you could sell lots of copies and turn a profit ;)  there's a lot of those wst sized kabaya I've been wanting for a good long time now.

Someone could. For me, recasting is a tedious endeavor. I'm very bad at it, but I persist until I get good results. Took me 4 months to make this Cliffjumper.

hehe I can believe that. I have a feeling that I'd suck at it too, at least until I'd done it several times first.
