yeah, look a post from lumpy...its been a good few months since my last one (not having the internet sucks)

but anyway, my wife and i usually throw in a dvd to watch as we fall asleep, most of the time gilmore girls or a pixar movie....we watch 10-20 minutes then doze off....anyway, about two weeks ago, i ask her what she wants to watch, and she says "lets watch the original transformers series" to which i have a blank stare on my face and ask "really?" we finished season one last night, and she's itching to start season 2, but my cousin has it, so we started beast wars instead....freaking awesome....and, she enjoyed the new movie enough to see it 4 times in 4 weeks with me....i love my wife.....

of course she wants to see season 2 , heavy metal war ended on such a good cliffhanger. If memory serves season two has like 40 or so episodes. a ton more than the first one...get snacks.

Otherwise I watch robotech and gijoe as complimentary series.

You've corrupted her dude. Isn't she buying every Bumblebee she see's now too?

My girlfriend passed out during the live action movie, but strangely enough stayed awake during the animated one....

She rules though. She wrapped all my birthday gifts in Transformer wrapping paper and gave me the movie prequel TPB.

Still cant get my wife to watch the animated series or movie but she jumped on the live action movie in a heart beat. Since then she has gotten a little more involved with my TF addiction....sometimes even suprising me.

During the great movie hype she suprised me and brought home Leader Prime, Alt Rumble, Alt Ravage and Optimash Prime. I love my wife :)

Supporting wifes are such the best!! When I told my wife that there wasn't anything available lately except for crappy Star Wars Tf's, she said I oughta get them cuz they are great alt modes and our son will totally want Star Wars toys anyways, may as well make some of them be transformers!

Lucky you. I put in the G1 discs whenever I want the woman to leave. Always works.

Yep, same here...apparently Gen1 is way more boring than 'the hills'

At least transformers generation 1 seems plausible...:rolleyes2

My wife and I have overlapping, but not the same tastes. It's a spectrum where like 60% of our likes overlap each other's, but the rest fall outside:

    Only me:
Doctor Who, Family Guy, Horror movies, Sci-Fi, the rest of the TF universe (see below)

    Shared:
G1 and new TF movie, Simpsons*, Mike Myers movies, certain sci-fi (Matrix, X-Men movies, Spiderman movies), most comedies, CSI (original, not the spinoffs), House, America's Next Top Model (I know! What's wrong with me!?), Last Comic Standing, Kitchen Nightmares/Hell's Kitchen, Harry Potter, stand-up comedian shows.

Hers: Gilmore Girls, Grey's Anatomy, So You Think You Can Dance, period romance movies (Jane Austin stuff), chick flicks, etc.

    * She claims not to like the Simpsons, but she watches it with me, can quote it as well as I can, and yesterday corrected me that it is Bart who is allergic to shrimp, and Skinner to peanuts.

So much of the time we enjoy movies and such together, but if there's a period movie on or a Riddick movie, we are fine going to different rooms to watch our shows.

    Edit to add:

This reminds me, Sunday there was the 1 hour season premeire of Family Guy where they re-told Star Wars. There was this one part where Peter Griffin as Han Solo says "Hyperspace looks so weird" and it shows hyperspace as the old Tom Baker Doctor Who beginning, with Tom Baker's smiling face and all. It was a moment of nerd-vana for me, and she was rolling her eyes so hard I thought they'd fall out her ears. :)

My wife is pretty cool with TF's now...at first she didn't like them but the 2007 movie kind of opened her eyes a bit...now that I've been watching beast wars she's really started to come around...Tigatron and Waspinator being her favorite characters...

I got my bf into TFs, he likes beast wars. After I had him watch the beast era, I had him G1 then Masterforce and Victory :D  and he watched it all for me, what a great guy! He even goes looking for TFs I need for me, he lives in another country too, so I get stuff I can't in the U.S. anymore.

My wife doesn't care for the cartoons, but loved the movie. We saw it twice in the theater and will be getting the DVD.

She scored my CC BB and Leader Brawl and always checks when she is at Target for stuff. She even got all TF stuff (plates, allspark party favors etc) for my son's 2nd B-day.

    She rocks.
