Hey guys, figured i would attempt to do a little tf modification myself after looking at all the amazing work i see here. i really liked the look of the jetfire/optimus combo from the movie but was kinda let down by how hasbro handled it for the toy so i'm going to take a stab at it. so far i have a working setup for the feet. i am thinking about removing the grill sections of primes feet as i think it will look better without them.

-edit: figured out shoulder pad placement.

Looking good so far. Oh, and try Mighty putty for securing pieces. That stuff is great! Not too expensive either. Plus, it's easy to find. Got mine at Walmart on the "as seen on tv" endcap by the check out.

mocked up the shoulders and shoulder pads. i think the placement looks good and give enough movement so the arms should retain all their range of movement.

You got good ideas here man. Here's a pic of my shoulder mock-up, I'm gonna try to use a small magnet inside the front hole of his tanks to allow the "JTFR" pieces to stick on and rotate so as not to hinder his arm pose ability, but the magnets i picked up the other day aren't strong enough so I haven't done it yet.

to be honest i reckon they are slighty too small in comparison to the movie if you are going for movie accuracy. i realli love what u did with the feet tho. really cool. same idea i had in mind but did not really know how to carry it out.

yeah i agree that they are a little on the small side but it was the closest i could get to the concept art i'm working from with just using parts from the prime and jetfire toys. glad you guys think they look good, i spent alot of time on them.(they could still use some more touching up to be honest lol)

fair enough then. i am working on mine and i realise there is not enough parts to go around from just jetfire n prime. prime is pretty much fixed and there is simply not enough jetfire parts imo. but you have done a good job with the parts available.
