I have been wanting to Display my Unicron in planet mode for quite some time but I had been unable to find a workable way to display him as he is is in the 1986 movie and A/E/C until now:

he is set up on a clear display box sized for a beanie baby or similar sized item I originally picked up thinking to use it for a Mirage when I got one but I tried it and it works okay for Unicron, Its not perfect but it better than having his Gaping maw straight up. tell me what you think and any suggestions to improve it.

This is a good idea. :thumbs2:  I never ordered that custom stand that they made for him waaaaaayyy back, so this is a very good solution.

Yeah, I read about it breaking out of the blue. Apparently it couldn't take the weight of the figure (and Unicron is hefty, after transforming him for 5 minutes my lower arms would ache as though I was chopping wood) and would break over time.

I recently got a Unicron, and what I'm going to do is buy a pair of small 3 inch tall clear risers (via The Container Store) and work it that way. Should allow him to both rest correctly and display his ring. If he doesn't balance right I can add a tuft of sponge behind the foot to prop him up.

I just hung unicron on some fishing line from my ceiling. Seemed appropriate and it worked.

My Unicron.com stand has been fine for years. The instructions stated to superglue it together which I did and it's never given me any issues at all.

I have the Unicron Stand. As long as it's one something stable that doesn't move when people walk by, it's fine. I glued mine together as well and Unicron has fallen a few times, however that was when he was on shelves that wobbled a little when you walked by.

I do something similar by setting Unicron on the edge of the shelf:

    He's shockingly stable like that.
