I actually think Prime is more or less Armada quality with far better animation and voice work. Armada did a lot of great fan-service and stayed true to a lot of the mythology while added their own contributions. I'd put, it Beast Wars, G1, Beast Machines, Prime and Armada up as the five best shows, in that order. (I know people find Beast Machines controversial, but I've always appreciated it)

 

I actually rewatched Armada recently and it surprisingly holds up pretty damn well.

 

If you can get over the animation quality and dub quality, which are really important and really bad, the writing on the show was actually pretty damn good. Some of the best of any of them.
