We start off with another Prime monologue. Something that describes their victory in the first movie, and ends with "And there was peace... For a time. But... At what cost...?"

Then we open to a broken down city. Lots of war going on. Sam is running from a giant tank. And after a small bit of the tank causing massive destruction, killing everything in its path, Sam eventually trips and falls, unable to get up. The tank stops in front of them, then transforms into - Megatron!

Megatron starts to stab down at him (like the trailer), while Mikaela and some random guy are like "SAM!!" ... Megatron's threatening claws hold Sam down while he aims his cannon arm at him, starts to fire, then--!!

Sam wakes up. It was all a dream.

Bumblebee (from outside Sam's house) wakes him up, asking if he was okay. Apparently, it's been a few years since the battle for the Allspark, and since Megatron's defeat Sam has had this reoccurring dream every year (or month.) Bumblebee doesn't know what it could mean, other than he's stressed out over the events that took place back then.

Soon after waking up, Sam is frantically getting ready for his first day of college.



Annnd this is all I can think of for an opening. To be honest I can't piece together everything that we know, but one thing is for sure - This would be a good way for them to explain how Megatron ISN'T in the movie despite there being proof that he is. :B

 

Megatron wouldn't be a dream sequence. You can't justify millions of dollars worth of CGI for a dream sequence =P

Also, I highly doubt Sam's dream could be potent enough to disintegrate Prime's face in the middle of China.

Seconded. The idea of Megatron being a dream sequence is pretty bad as it is, but it's also out of place in a Bay film. Not to mention it'd be a really lousy set up.

Yeah yeah I know. XD I had this theory back when we had the leaked design, yet it was stated he WOULDN'T be appearing in the film. I thought it would be such a kick in the face if he was, but only as a dream sequence cameo. It just seems like a clever enough play on words to be true. I don't know Bay's movie style (in fact I never heard of him until the first movie), so I know I could be wrong.

The idea of him being anything more than a memory for this next movie just feels out of place to me. I understand they will be focusing on fight scenes more and it will be longer than the first film, but look what we've already got; Decepticons everywhere, Constructicons/Devastator, Jetfire who I still don't know the full origin of, some stuff involving a break in into some lab (early public images), and on top of all that, The Fallen in Egypt.

I just get the feeling with all of this already being brought up, as well as introducing all the new Autobots, Megatron might not be able to fit into all of it. But if they found a way how, I would gladly see how they do so.

Actually an early episode of the TFW podcast reveals that Peter Cullen was recording lines for the movie, which mentioned something which hints at an opening monologue like the first film. I could see it being a thing to put in further TF movies, kind of like a running theme.

 

Um... isn't it confirmed that the movie will start in Bethleham steel asia?
