my theory on the leader prime jetfire toys is somewhat simple. I was thinkin that the leader jetfire can disassemble into parts that can connect to the new leader prime, that's probably the reason why that pic of a peice of jetfire appeared as only a peice, not as the whole thing.

maybe. it would kinda give him a city commander feel to the combination making it more like armor. Then again it could just be like the Wing Saber/Ops combine where he does snap apart and then combines on in pieces. Don't know if that fits for the movie though. what does everyone else think?

The piece of Jetfire we have looks like it's just a gun. Lots of Transformers have weapons formed from bits of their altmodes.

Jetfire might disassemble like you said, but I don't think having a separate gun-piece adequately proves it.

    Good question.

From what Micheal Bay said about the first film was there would be no size morphing. Given that, for this to work, I think the Jetfire would have to become smaller pieces. An SR-71 is so much larger than a semi truck. Just pure speculation. Interesting to see how this toy turns out. Hope it's cool.

Judging by the Legends figures' combined mode, it looks like Jetty will simply form a jet pack.

Yea but you have to remember that legends are simpler forms of a figure, so that's the combo in it's simplest form

I just hope that the Leader Jetfire can actually combine with Prime, and we don't have to buy one combiner Jetfire for it

And I just hope that the second rumoured gestalt set is not a truck Optimus and a jet Jetfire that go from vehicle to combined mode only, like the supreme Devastator giftset.

But that is just the legends figures, extremely simplified versions of movie characters. The Keychain outline depicted a much, MUCH more intricate combination.

I think we're getting a Supreme Version that got no separate robot mode.

    What.

Wow, not everyone needs to destroy me for judging the combined mode. It isn't like Legends are knock offs.

Yeah, but even if Jetfire breaks apart he's not any smaller. I really can't see how they can get around the size issue unless the combined form is a large Jetfire wearing a tiny Prime.

I agree. I do think that Jetfire is worn like a battle suit, with Prime's legs fitting inside Jetfire's legs, and Prime's arms fitting inside Jetfire's arms, etc.

Kind of like that yellow suit Ripley wore in the Alien movies...but you know, much cooler.

Prime and Jetfire will use Seth Brundle's telepods to combine.
