So I play bar trivia with friends every week, and I'm always sad my deepest area of nerdiness never comes in handy (unline my friends who know things like Chemistry really deeply). Well, final question, risking all our points, and needing to get it right to win, we get this question: What kind of plane is this: BAM! First thing in my head was "That's Leader class Starscream!" Cybertronian tatoos or not, thanks to ROTF toys I now know a F-22 Raptor when I see one! Pretty sweet, eh? Anybody else ever benefit from TF nerdom?
Sweet, my video game nerdiness comes in handy when hubby doesn't know the answer to something. He called me the other day because his friend wanted to know which game had a character named Dante in it so I told him Devil May Cry and he told his friend and it was the right game he was looking for but my hubby failed to tell his friend that he had to call me and ask so he took the credit for it. Prick.
Only time when on eBay, guy put up a Cookie Crisp Jazz not knowing what he had and someone else put up a huge lot of rhinos for $10, it also had a MOSC Rhinox in the mix. Other then that I'd have to say no.
Nice way to make a profit out of your knowledge, the only time my TF nerdiness was when my and my many cousins where playing Pop 5 some game about pop culture trivia and my partner for the game got the Transformers Card and he had to hum a few bars of the theme song and I automatically got it. Other than that no.
No. Never has been useful. Unless you count my kitbashing nerdiness, in which case i've just blitzed an engineering exam today because of it.
When I see this jet I always think of this purple YF-22 which was out when Generation 2 was new. Sometime around in 1993 or 1994. But I don't know his name anymore...
My TF nerdiness hasn't won me anything, but my car nerdiness has. Highlights being a trip to the Spa Grand Prix, and a trip to a supercar show in Monaco.
I find my Nerdy-ness more of a hindrance, like when someone id trying to quote Starwars and they get it wrong, I fell obliged to correct them, thus coming off like comic book guy from the Simpsons…
congrats. i haven't actually benifitted from my tf nerdom, except that my gf, sister and nephew are pretty impressed about my tf knowledge...
Let's face it, that $30 is going right back into transformers, so did it really help you? =P Also, wouldn't leader class starscream have the tattoos? That would be 2007 voyager class starscream.
