I love this mold and i had to make some touchups First of all, i looked for reference pics of the real vehicle (even though its a mix of different trucks, seems to be based on a Chevrolet Silverado according to TF Wiki), and painted different details, like door handles and such, as well outlining the door lines (just like the real deal), as well the borders of the different windows For robot mode, i started painting different details with silver, red and gold, specially gears and cables, mainly the chest and abdomen. Later i gave him a black wash to give that worn out scheme and finally some touchups with silver Finally i decided to leave the truck mode without any visible damage, just like the movie More pics ready for the galleries btw Gallery up http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-images/radicons-customs/Transformers-Movie/Dropkick-Detailed/
You can upload up to 10 photos in your first post, btw (hint hint ). So far from what I can see, everything you've done looks really cool! One thing that bugs me about this toy is that pair of pliers that comes out of the bed cover. Do you have any plans to change that piece? Anyways, everything looks good man!
I agree, his weapon gimmick was lame, but the rest of him is win. I love the fully detailed truck mode! I was so happy when this guy came out, just because it was a pickup TF. The botmode looks like dirty metal, good execution.
The pliers got a touch of silver wash too, but i didnt made anything else. They attach on the top and does nothing else
