When Ryan first showed me that "Styrker" concept pic, I wish Hasbro had done that instead of the blood red and arctic camo that Wreckage sports. Then I saw Jin's repaint of Wreckage and I knew I had to try it. It's the same basic method as Jin's, but I used different shades and Tamiya paints. The base coat is flat black, followed by olive drab dry brushing, and then neutral gray dry brushing in certian areas for detail. I then dry brushed a little bit of silver, applied silver to the face & red eyes, and I am finishing up dry brushing dark copper on the legs and a couple more details. I'll finish by clear coating it. Alt. mode coming soon .
I agree with reline, really nice. I think the colors match him better than the white/grey Hasbro used
Tanks for all the great comments guys . You know I almost ruined this project. Like I said his base is Tamiya flat black, and this was my first time using flats/mattes, so I almost finished and the can died. I saw that I had black Krylon Fusion, well "Dee DeeDee". As some of you may know, I sure as hell didn't at the time, Krylon is pretty glossy. One spray, and I don't think I had ever used so many cusses in one sentence. Luckily with some more flat spray and some matte black brush-on I "salvaged Wreckage".
