It took me ages to get a hold of a perfect mint specimen, but that soon needed to change... until now I still haven't modded the base figure... I might try at finding a new right arm but I kinda like the original... the colors are good enough for me... when I do replace the arm .. I'll prolly just paint the new modded arm and leave the rest alone :D

anyways the blaster is a heavy modified energon signal flare, the twist gimmick still works

    enjoy C&C welcome....

    I hope I find a decent alt-mode... :drunk

    YouTube - ‚Ä™Transformers Custom Classics Shockwave‚Ĩ‏

    --------------------------------
AS PER REQUEST... here are some details:

    A. Just unscrewed the big default arm kibble, then cut away the " / \ " parts to make room. (can't be seen on the pics)
    B. The yellow part needs to be trimmed/dremeled into the exact size so it can fit/slide in. (be careful trim to much and the gimmick will not work)
    C. Shave/trim the sides a little so the whole can turn without rubbing.
    D. Cut into the arm to this exact spot. (normally it starts from position E)
    E. Gently made the side wide so the new made elbow functions as it should!

    --------------------------------

    UPDATE:
    I think i've found some usable alt-mode :D
    should I stick with triple-changer or 4 ;)

    UPDATE2:
    added the wire/hose/cable whatever thingy...
extremely easy no modding (after the previous mods that is)
Now to remove that energon thingy in his shoulder....
For now I'm awaiting a big lot and see if a suitable arm is within

    UPDATE3:
Removed the shoulder energon thingy.. (still need to fill it)
Fitted a new arm, still no mods to the base figure :D
    What do you guys think?

    UPDATE4:
scrapped the arm (right hand) again, now I've used a Alt.Wheeljack arm
Guess he about done now, not? what do you guys think is left to do?

    UPDATE4B:
per request some previously removed pics...
but still the first few pictures are from the final version...
just need to fill the shoulder gap and then do a few small paint apps

    UPDATE5:
It's painted .. BUT ... I was out of paint so I tried to mix as close as I could, thus winding up with 3 different shades of purple :D  But I kinda like it so I'm leaving the purple as is and focusing on a silver dry-brush on the legs and feet next!

    UPDATE6:
I actually starting to like the different shades
So I kinda leaving him like this, don't feel like transforming him again for a photoshoot :(
So this one is Finished without me gonna make a new thread about it!
(but I did make a video review of it ;) )

    UPDATE6B:
Well minor update just added a picture of good 'ol Shocky with friends :D

    UPDATE6C:
Damn you TJ!!! Now I have to make it like this

    UPDATE7:
Well since TJ forced me to paint up the rest with his awesome SW :D  LOL ;) ....
I now await original G1 parts, to get same feeling in alt-mode!

see, now this is what I mean, sometimes you come up with hugely brilliant ideas. Like this.
I've said it before, I'll probably say it again, other times it just makes me wonder what acid trip you were on and why didn't you share......

    anyways, I'm so stealing this.......

Looks great, but would you mind posting a bit more detail about the modding? I can't quite figure out where Shockblast ends and Signal Flare begins... also, how did you attach it?

    Very nice.

I like the tank mode, and the arty station mode, your "gun" mode, if you call it that is too much of a stretch IMO. Still, nicely done, like I said, totally copying.
