Hello everyone! I am a regular to this site (at least three times a day I check it for news updates and sitings. I absolutely love the Transformers community and TFW2005 has definitely captured it for me. I have been wanting to post my collection for some time, but have just not gotten around to it. It is not much, I am somewhat of a rookie to this. Have been collecting since the I saw the first Movie Prime on the shelves. Little did I know that I would be hooked! I am a collector who will choose his figures based on the "robots in disguise" concept, accuracy to the show/movie, and overall aesthetic of the toy. The Alternators are a perfect example of this. When some one walks into my house and asks "so are these vehicles models then or are they transformers too?". When a toy is able to hide that it is a robot so well, I have to have it. This is the reason I have not gotten into the beast figures as much. I am slowly growing my collection. Hope you like it. Thank you all so much for making this site so enjoyable and informative. Oh, and my wife is so in love with my passion for this hobby that she allows me to display them in our office on the first floor for all to see!! Gotta love a woman like that! David in Ohio P.S. Again, big thanks to mykticon for making my Alternators completion hunt that much easier. Stellar figures!
Awesome display man, looks very cool! I am sooo glad all my Alt.s went to such a devoted fan! I need to get my collection put up on here too.
Welcome. Very nice, just stick with it and keep building. We all started somewhere Just make sure you don't let it take control of you - no need to go broke over toys.
Thanks, myk. They are so well taken care of. I did have to open everyone, though. I am an opener. I love to toy around with them! I'm with you on the "not letting it take me over" feeling. That is why I have really narrowed down what I love about the toys. Do I have to be a completist? No. This eliminates most repaints within the lines and toys that don't even interest me. Plus, my preference keeps me away from many past lines like Armada, etc. I have only purchased Onslaught and Powerglide from the new Universe line, and will likely pick up Inferno, but that is it. I have also decided to stick with ONLY the figures from the characters from the actual movie from RotF, or maybe a couple extra here and there. I did get carried away with the likes of Jolt, Dreadwing, Payload, etc from the first movie line. Even though Arcee, Incinerator, and Landmine are perfect examples of my taste in the types of toys I like, I really feel as if they were unnecessary purchases at this point. I am addicted to Animated. They are really sleek, nifty, and VERY accurate to their show counterparts. Plus they are a lot of fun. If anything, I am really zeroing in on my pickiness of toys. I love them. Being an engineer, they really fuel my need for gizmos and gadgetry. Plus, they make up for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord and Dragonzord that I never got for Christmas back in the day. Sorry for the long post.
Yeah, she is a Golden Retriever puppy and loves to be around people. Follows me everywhere. She is only allowed in this room when I am in there. Too many things (TFs) to reach and destroy. Thank you all for your kind words!
nice setup. and kudos to your wife for the support. mine lets me have free reign over the basement, and while my collection display will eventually be pretty awesome (i'm hoping), no one sees it but me and the kid when he goes downstairs to "Practice" his music or his Kenpo. Bucket
Love your collection and how it is displayed. But if you truly love these things, those shelves will be overflowing in now time. I am jealous of your alternators too.
nice collection, bro.. nice neat setup.. with the last movie, i collected only onscreen characters too.. but with universe/classics/animated/masterpiece/encore, ive become much closer to completist.. good to see ur still keeping away from that until it consumes u, at least and thats a cute puppy
Thank you. I am just curious as to how I am going to incorporate RotF toys....especially if the 40 robots claims are true.
Installed Plexiglass to my display cases!!!!! No more dusting!!!!!! Plus added a few more since the last time...
