After many months of waiting and being delayed, and then an unexpected inability to actually find one, my 80GB PS3 will arrive tomorrow!!

Complete with MGS4 (which I'm debating whether to keep or sell as I haven't much interest in the series) joining the two games I already bought for it (Ratchet and Clank Future and GTA4), I'm absolutely ecstatic to own one of these meaty bad boys.

So... anyone know how I can easily get this sucker online? (I don't have a wireless router, and I don't even know how to use one or what kind I would need... help!!)

    Well, what's your setup?

Is your modem plugging straight in to your PC?

R&C is a good game, I would not recommend a wireless connection anyways. Wire it to a router you will be downloading a lot and will need the speed.

Congratz, and yeah R&C is a great game, also very pleasing on the eyes.

You've got two winners in terms of games so far. Getting it hooked up for online is fairly easy. I too would avoid the wireless connection if at all possible. I have mine hooked directly into my router.

Mine is hooked up via wifi. Online play is fine and lag free. PSN store is AGONIZINGLY slow. Large demos take an eternity. It's not uncommon for me to leave it on overnight to download a couple of large ones. Not sure if a hardwired network would fix the issue if the speed is fine for gaming. I think it's an issue with the store itself.
