on the back of the toy, there is a description about jetfire. at the end it says "e will fight the decepticons, no matter the cost." i personally think this means he is going to die in the movie, what do you think??

I have seen the future: Jetfire proclaims, "Megatron must be stopped. No matter the cost." Then he will fight him to the tune of "The Touch" and die because Mudflap jumps on Megatron at the wrong moment. At his deathbed, he pulls the Matrix out of his arse (that's why it's itchy with wretched rust) and gives it to Prime. After he dies, Prime throws it out the window while holding his nose.
Jetfire's death has been theorized since it was confirmed that he was the geriatric bot....that bio from his leader class packaging added some fuel to the fire by allowing him to fit the classic mold of "misguided warrior who sees the error of his ways and seeks to atone for them"
It'll more than likely be the Old Yeller ending. Ironhide shoots Jetfire while Sam is sitting on the ground crying. "Sam, it had to be done. He was OLD as DIRT!"
Well he IS pretty old, and I don't think he can fight off a bunch of Decepticons with only a cane, unless...it's a cane-sword!
He reminds me of master She Fu from Kung Fu Panda old and crochety but limber and mean...like yoda...like Gollum...Mr Beaver(what?)...also like little John...Dumbledore...now I'm just rambling. I am honestly reminded of Kup G1 kup not IDW Kup.
funny you should mention Kup inthis i have been wondering if thats partof what they are trying to do , mix Kup into Jetfire and we get this old and moldy bot

It's theorized that he may have been one of the original 13 in the movieverse. So yeah, he could be pretty old.
