And I'm slacking off on TFW2005. I hope that reflects my speed and efficiency and I get a fat raise. When was your last job review, and did you get the raise you deserved?
My last review was in December and I got a big 5-percenter. Oddly enough, I got reviewed again last month. I'm not counting on another raise though.....greedy GE bastards....
I left my last job right about the time my annual review was 3 weeks overdue. I deserved a bump to lvl II status, and I should've gotten it long before my annual.
They have mentioned somthig about a raise coming, bout 6% Not great as the cost of living has gone up about 15% in the last year. Looking for a new job FTW!
well good luck with the review. I guess I just had one. the boss and I never talked, he just sent through some paperwork to hr that was my review. I got a 10 percent raise mid last year and then with this review he gave me another 6 percent.
My current job doesn't do reviews. However, at my last job of 3 years, my performance review could not have been worse. You. Are. Fired. Something about the company car, and a DUI or some lame crap like that. It all worked out. I make more money at my new job and less headache, just a little more hours. Private owner vs. corporate whores FTW!!!! BTW Good luck fosterlager, just try to avoid saying "Review this bitch!!" while pointing at your crotch. Employers tend to frown upon that.
My last review was late November/early December. It was the best review ever. Boss: Come in here, close the door. Me: Kay *CLOSES DOOR* Boss: Review time. You've done your shit. You haven't pissed me off. Here's your raise, maximum we allow. Me: Kay. Boss: We're done. Then he proceeded to talk about his recording equipment for about an hour. We share a few hobbies so that was kinda cool. But as far as the business end of reviews, he's awesome. My previous boss though? He'd put off my review for over six months, then try to spend two hours lecturing me about how much alike we were while making it obvious he didn't have a fucking clue what the hell he was talking about. Then he'd hand me a stack of papers three miles thick so that I could "grade" myself. One year he didn't perform my review at all until after the deadline for the next year. The only cool thing there was I got back-paid for the full previous year's raise all at once. He was a massive jerkoff. Still is.
A bump of 5.42%! Dude wants to keep me happy. Between this, renovating and selling our condo and finalizing the divorce, I should be sitting well by Memorial Day.
my last review was back in August (2006) for my performance in 2004...(i got deployed so never got to get it). Said i was successful (which is like average) and he was suppose to let me know what things i should be working on (but we never needed to go into it). everytime we do our review, we usually get a raise of some sort (1-4% the norm, 10% being the promotion) this coming one, i most likely be in the successful range again.
My last raise they looked at my pay and realized i wasnt getting nearly what I deserve to be paid (I wasnt argueing), and got almost a 20% raise! Next month it will be time again and I was talking to the assistant of the person who makes these decisions and she told me that the 20% last year was the maximum they could give me and that i still should be making more, and to expect the same this year! hehehe i cant wait.
At my last job, max raise was 6%. I got 5% both times, despite the fact that I knew more about what we were doing than my managers did 95% of the time. And everybody in that place was underpaid, not just me. I'm so glad I don't work there anymore.
The one place that I work at (I have 2 jobs) just changed they're review process. Supposedly, we get points for each section, then they're added up and our raise depends on how many points we get. 1% to 4%. My supervisor told me once that with the old evals, if he scored us too high, the HR manager would bitch at him and make him do it again. My next eval should be coming up next month. But I really don't have to worry about that anymore. I just called off for my shifts tomorrow (I only work Saturdays there) and next week I'll call in and quit. They really pissed me off earlier today. I make more money at my new job, and can get all the hours I want. I was really only waiting till my wife found a job to quit anyways. And she started last night
i started at $10/ hr at my job.then i got bumped to $11.33/hr. my last review was in January, they gave me a whole 17 cents increase.OH BOY!!! ( insert sarcasm here ) i told them that they could take it and shove it. Needless to say, im making $11.50/hr now.
