Been working on this team for a while now, and I feel like I'm close to being done. I wanted to make my own team, neither Autobot nor Decepticon, and make them unique. I normally don't make up new characters, but this time I tried. From left to right in the front row are: Kickstand Overtake Beadlock Base Coat Cross Thread The rig in back is Jacknife Still working on a team name as well as a name for the combiner, so feel free to offer up suggestions. Basically they're a team of bounty hunters / mercenaries that got caught up trying to steal the Enigma and got turned into a combiner team. Anyway, I still need to get the Kickstand and Cross Thread touched up so they don't look like their original figures, but the rest are done for now.
I like what you've done. The combined form looks better than menasor for some reason, more proportional.
I must have missed combined mode. Yeah. The addition of the new head is awesome. Looks pretty proportional too.
Thanks for the comments. Of course, that trailer would never have happened if it weren't for the ones seali_me made first. I found those decals at a classic car swap meet of all places. I have a larger black one left, might put it on top of the trailer to break up all that silver.
These look badass. As for the name of the group and combiner...maybe as a suggestion call them or the combiner itself after your username.
Looks like Movie Crankcase and Stockade or whichever repaint variants. I see the Wreckage head on Sunstreaker... which ones are on Motormaster and Dead End?
The feet are my own design and 3D printed at home. I have a set for almost all the combiner teams. It took a bit of trial and error to get them working, but I was able to make feet that accept the balls from Lego joints, and then just thicken the pegs a little for the 5mm ports in the figures. The heads are as follows: Overtake (Sunstreaker) is from a movie Wreckage figure I had laying around. Bead Lock (Ironhide) is from movie Stockade. Base Coat (Prowl) has the larger head from Power Core Combiners Double Clutch. Cross Thread (Trailbreaker) is from Cannonball. Then Jacknife's heads are from a Kreo Sideswipe and Cybertron Optimus Prime. The deluxe figures head pegs are all intact. I had to make some of the new heads fit, as well as shave a little off here and there so they would rotate for combined mode. Finding a head for that Sunstreaker mold was a pain tho. As it is, his head needs to be turned 90 degrees when he's a car so it all fits.
