It's called, "Transformers The Fantasy, The Fun, The Future"

    author: Erin Brereton

    Check it out here

It's got brief info on Alternators, a Transformers "yearbook" information about Takara, several pages devoted to Transformers: Classics, a G2 toy checklist, a section about Beast Wars, pictures from Botcon 2006, info about the Collector's Club, a list of the "best" characters, and a Section about the 2007 movie which includes cast Bios (including Peter Cullen) and has that picture of movie Bumblebee on his back that was going around the internet - interestingly enough it lists Anthony Anderson among the cast (hadn't heard that before).

The final section of the book is about the comics (Marvel, Dreamwave and IDW) and a section about all the TF video games that have been made, including an Ocean Software game from 1985 I had never seen before.

All in all, cool stuff for a kid's book.

Wow, that's really cool! I'll have to hunt that down now.

Wish they had books like that at the book fair when I was a kid. :(

If you do a search for "transformers" on scholastic.com the first result is "Best of Animorphs". How horribly sad.

I remember when I was in kindergarten they had one of those book fairs at my school; I saw a book there with the Dinobots on it and wanted to get it, but some kid pointed to the UPC (the number under the barcode) and said something to the effect of "look at the price! you can't afford that!" Pretty sure I didn't believe him (not sure; I was pretty young at the time) but I never got the book.

I remember those as well, I still have some of the books from there, Scary Stories or whatever they were called, had some creepy drawings in them, ah good times, wish they would have had that TF book when I went to them.

Book fairs at school were great, it was where I got two of my Transformers puzzle books and two of those fighting fantasy type books.
