First things first, I know that the Jumpstarters were crap toys and the only reason we look back fondly upon ol' Topspin and Twintwist was the genius decision to have them be part of the Wreckers in an attempt to sell more of their toys, but I'm a sucker for the underdog so I thought I'd make some more Jumpstarters........

All got 'T' names like the official Jumpstarters, and I tried to give them names that hinted at their unique transformation gimmick, like 'spin' and 'twist' did.

That was my original plan, actual customs rather than artwork. That's why there are so many twintwist-like tanks. I think that the Jumpstarters are cheap enough and easy to get hold of on Ebay, so I might do them one day.

Just whack some wings and a cockpit on Topspin and you'd have a passable Tailfin, and just replace Twintwist's drills with something else and you'd have Thumbscrews or Tripwire.

    Tricknuts...
    heheh

I'm really liking the design aesthetics. They have unity yet individualism, which makes this projent really stand out!

FYI, your Dynobot designs have inspired me to do a whole Dinobot hybrid army based off of your cool designs. Some will have dinosaur modes while others will have vehicles.

Thanks, but after these guys and my Dynobots and Insecticons, I REALLY want to do a group without a colour scheme! maybe some G2 garish luminosity or some Actionmaster Thundercracker type 'must have been for a bet' colouring.
I was in two minds about 'Tricknuts'. It was the only 'T' name that hinted at bikes and stunts that I could think of though.

Glad to hear it.......I really should get round to doing the Dinosaur versions of my guys, buy there were 60 off them and its a bit daunting!

Thanks, glad that Jumpstarters are getting some love!

Awesome. Are you going to expand some of the most obscure subgroups like Turbomasters, Predators, Axelerators, Skyscorchers, Aquaspeeders, Stormtroopers, Lightformers, Trakkons, Obliterators, Lazer Rods, Rotorforce, Autorollers, Cyberjets, G2 Go-Bots, Deluxe Vehicles, Triggerbots/cons, Firecons, small monster Headmasters, Powermasters, and Monsterbots? I could help come up with ocs for these groups if you want. I also think you should make a hyena as one of your autobot beast targetmasters. You could call him Cackle.

I'm only interested in G1 to be honest, and of the subgroups you mention it's only the Monsterbots that I've got OCs for.

These are nice. I would love to see actual customs if ever done. Especially Tinderbox & Thumbscrews

These are actually really, really neat...It's kind of a shame Hasbro didn't do this with the Jumpstarter tech instead of those crazy Marvel crossovers they tried.

Since you already have the mad art skillz, have you thought about trying to make micro-versions of these to put up on a site like Shapeways? I'm just thinking that since all they do is flip in half, they'd probably be pretty easy to design. Of course, you wouldn't have the distinctive spring-loaded feature, but they'd still be faster to change than most TFs out there today!

Just got back from Marshalls...where the entire line of Marvel Jumpstarters were on the racks for six bucks each. Just thought that might help if you were looking for different spare parts.

----Just saw you are in the UK...so that might not help much...nevermind...
