    'Ello,

My Seeker design is a bit meh at the mo, so I'm pressing on with something I've had in the back of my mind for some time.

My first ever post on here was of a custom I'd made a while back - an admittedly quite poorly modeled movie-verse concept Bruticus. It wasn't great, needless to say. So, now I've got really into the swing of things and have improved my renderring skills a lot, I have decided to give him a go again.

What's the point, you may ask? Well, Bruticus holds a special place in my heart - he was easily my favourite toy as a kid - and ever since Devastator was put on screen in ROTF, I've been thinking, 'God, I know how Bruticus can work, if I can just show it.' I was also very inspired by ::ONE::'s superb design job in the Design a TF contest. I'd love to have done a model of that design, however I'm not nearly skilled enough! I like to think of this as a 'proper' of version of my original idea.

As with all of my stuff, it won't be transformable - I much prefer the freedom of sculpture, but I will embark on a transformable transformer one day! However, I'm hoping to make him pose-able, but it really depends on the quality of the kit parts I use (Tamiya are the best I find, in terms of quality of plastic).

it would be cool if bruticus could split up in to the vehicles not bots just the vehicles.

As much as I'd like to, doing that will really compromise the design. As a movie-verse concept, I want the separation of the vehicles in Transformation to be quite creative, and with that quite complex. However, I am still aiming to make him articulated. But you gotta remember that model kits are actually made of quite fragile plastic - so even if he could Transform, he probably wouldn't survive the process!

What I'm really aiming to do with this project is make him like a Warhammer diorama - just a hulking, detailed mass of metal. Kinda like this:

If I'm feeling really creative I may even throw some LED's in here and there.

Here's a pic of him overall, so you can see how he's shaping up.

So at the moment, his body consists of:

Right leg : an M977 8x8 Cargo Truck
Left leg : an M1126 Stryker
Body: will be an M1 Abrams, and maybe something else.
Right arm : an F-18 Hornet - also his weapon, using the jets a flamethrower!
Left arm: either a Black Hawk or... a nice chunky Chinook to give him that hulky-ness.

His lower section is very nearly complete now.

So in this pic you can see the right leg, Swindle (an at-the-moment tyre-less M977 8x8 Cargo Truck), and the left leg, Onslaught (an M1126 Stryker)

Ha ha... well, the reason behind that is because I have a special plan for the torso, which, if it works, shall be revealed soon! Suffice to say, there will be a sixth Combaticon.

Oh, and the reason why Swindle is not a Jeep is because a Jeep is just tiny in scale with a Jet or helicopter for an arm, so he got an upgrade :)

    Ha ha.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't like it if I was that airplane.

Woo, only the left arm and some rendering left to do on this guy. And the small manner of the head.

There isn't going to be a sixth Combaticon anymore, alas. Basically, I was going to run with a smaller tank than the M1, leaving space for another 'bot, but sadly I caved in. Its by far the best tank. And its American, so it fits.

Anyway, first page updated with latest pics.

I'm taking pleasure looking at your latest customs.
This will be an amazing piece!

If I may, have you thought on that f-15 to fold down the wings so they lean perpendicular with the body. I was looking at it, and though it would be awesome if the end of the fuselage with the engine, would flip up to reveal it's right hand.

This piece will rock the house!
    Great work, dioramas are sweet!
